September 18, 2008 edition of Maayong Buntag Mindanao Cooking Demo:

EMPANADA

Ingredients:
¼ kilo giniling na karne
1 cup patatas, cubed
2 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp onions, chopped
1 sachet ginisa mix
½ cup TVP(textured vegetable protein) soak in ½ cup water

Procedure:
1. Sauté all ingredients until done.

PASTRY/CRUST

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
½ cup lard
½ cup water

Procedure:
1. Cut in lard into flour.
2. Add water little by little until dough forms into a ball.
3. Roll. Cut into desired shape.
4. Fill each pastry with meat filling. Seal properly.
5. Bake until done or deep fry.
